We all see a lot of cracked teeth these days, in fact most of my emergencies seem to be patients with cracked cusps and, in discussion with colleagues, the incidence does seem to be on the increase but just how many teeth are cracked? I’m not talking about simple crazing of enamel but cracks which extend through enamel into dentine or are found under fillings.
